Super 8 is an upcoming science fiction film written and directed by filmmaker J. J. Abrams and starring Elle Fanning and Kyle Chandler, due to be released on June 10, 2011. Abrams and Spielberg collaborated in a storytelling committee to come up with the story for the film.
